Feed the Hunger

I have a new hat. It's called a hair net.
Mary brought it home for me.

Do I look funny? Have you ever seen a dog wear a hair net before?
I wore it while I was working at the computer.
You know, I didn't want to get hair all over the keyboard.
 I'm thoughtful that way.

I have a sad story to tell you.

There are little children that don't know Jesus.
AND
This is so sad too, there are little children that are hungry.
Hungry right this very minute.
They don't have a refrigerator to go get some food.

What will happen to those little children?
Will they get dinner? Will they great breakfast?

Now I have a happy story to tell you.
and God gave them a plan.
It's called
Feed the Hunger

Jesus teaches us to love those hungry children.
We can tell them that Jesus loves them and He has a plan for them.
God's plan is for us to send them food! And while we are there we will tell them about Jesus!
What a GREAT idea.
{God is so smart}

Papa loves Jesus and little children.
Look, he has on a hairnet too!
Papa is at a pak a thon.
They are packing food for the children.

Here Mary, Mia, Nico and a young friend pack the food.
They love Jesus and they love the hungry little children.

We know Aunt Elisa, she loves Jesus and she loves little children
so she is helping pack food.
She has on the funny looking hair net too!
But, I think she looks cute  :)

These bags of rice, dried vegetables and protein will go to the hungry children.

Here is a table full of bags for many children

Guess what happens next?
People fill boxes and boxes of bags of rice
for the children.

Then the boxes of rice go into big trucks
THEN
onto ships that sail on the ocean.
Wow! That is a lot of rice.

Papa and Uncle Benjamin went
to see the children that got the food.
WOW! That is an exciting thing to do.

I helped them pack
We went to the store and bought school supplies and candy for the children. I had to wait in the car .. again.

That morning Papa and Uncle Benjamin got on a plane
  and flew to Jamaica

They rode in the van to the hotel

Papa and Uncle Benjamin made new friends.

They are unpacking the truck.
This is one of the boxes of rice
that that we packed at our church in North Carolina.
Melinda, Uncle Benjamin, a helping friend, Tony, Carol, Nigel, Papa and Jim.

This little fellow is so happy to have lunch.
He goes to a school in Jamaica.
He learns about Jesus at school and he gets to have lunch every day because people that love Jesus love the little children too.

After lunch the children played games.
They used tires to run after.

Uncle Benjamin sang the song
Father Abraham with the class.

The children from another school prayed with Papa. They told God thank you for the good food.
There are a lot of children that go to the school and the teachers do a good job teaching
 them to read the Bible.

Their church

This little one knows how to pray.

She is happy to have her new Bible

The children wear their best uniforms and fix their hair so cute so they will look nice when the visitors come.

And of course
Uncle Benjamin punches the children.
That little guy looks like he is going to punch him right back.

When you do what God tells you to do, you may be tired but you feel happy on the inside. It's a good kind of rest.

Papa and Uncle Benjamin came back home and shared their pictures and told us stories of how God takes care of the hungry little children.
So, I thought I would share those stories with you.

If you would like to host a pack a thon

love you.

Feed the hungry,
and help those in trouble.
Then your light will shine out from the darkness
and the darkness around you will be as light as noon.
