Daisy's Surgery

I am happy to say that Daisy is asleep on her blanket, snoring.
That is a happy sound.

I'm writing this for Daisy because she just got home from her surgery and is not able to type right now.

The vet told us it was a good thing
we brought Daisy in.
She had been really sick.
She had:
 * a bad ear infection.
 * a severe bladder infection
 * 4 tumors

The vet cleaned out her ears and now we have to put drops in them every day for 10 days

Then

The vet checked her bladder and on a scale of 5 being horrible and life threatening she was a 3+.
We have to give her a pill two times a day, every day for 10 days. It's an antibiotic.

Lastly,

The vet cut off the tumors.
The vet warned us before we saw her and told us she looks like she got caught in some barbed wire. He meant that her legs have a lot of stitches in them.

After being in the hospital for 3 days
she came home today.

When she got home she was thirsty.
She drank and drank water!

She doesn't look very happy in this picture.

Poor girl.

Now, the next two pictures are rough looking.
If you don't like things like surgery, you might not want to look.

The vet worked very hard to get rid of those tumors.
It's not an easy job and we appreciate
that he was careful with Daisy.

I will post more pictures in a couple days.
This was Day 1 of Daisy at home after surgery.

We love Daisy so much.
We are very sorry she has to have this trouble
but we are going to take good care of her.
I fed her fresh chicken broth for dinner tonight,
she loved it.

The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,
    and his kingdom rules over all.

Poor Daisy! Tumors - is she expected to be okay when she's past surgery or is this a continuing issue? I'm so sorry; it doesn't sound fun for her. How old is she now? - Dee Dee

Hi Dee Dee,
I'm sorry, I thought I had answered but I guess it didn't post.
We don't know if the tumors were cancerous but we pray that this will be the end of the problems.
She is an older dog, about 12 years.
Thanks Dee Dee :)
