Daisy Got an Email

This is an email I recieved from Aubrey, thought you might like to read it. It's interesting. That Sprite really loves Aubrey, she stayed right there with her, even when she was scared. 

Dear Daisy,

Are you scared of guns? I have a little dog named Sprite and she is TERRIFIED of them! Well, the other day I went to visit her at my Grandma's house and boy, was she glad to see me! She said, " Oh, Aubrey, I missed you so much! Let's play!" So, me, Ethan, Grandpop, and Sprite went on a walk through the woods together. Sprite loved walking with us ! She stayed at my heel the whole time. (I told her "Good Girl" for doing this because this is how dogs are trained to walk. They are supposed to walk at your ankle. That's why the command is called "Heel")

 Then Grandpop and Ethan decided to shoot some targets. Uh,oh.  And when Grandpop pulled out his gun, Sprite tucked her little tail between her legs to show she was scared. She knows guns make a loud BOOOM! Well, I told her "You can go now,"(She knows what that means)because I knew she was terrified. Usually she will take off running at even the sight of a gun, but being the loyal dog she is, she simply would not leave me. Grandpop shot the first shot, and Sprite began to shake,(She does that when she's scared, just like you, Daisy) and tried to climb into my lap. I told her,"Go play! Go find Sophie!"(She also knows what that means)but she would not obey me. She sat in my lap the whole time the shooting was going on, and shook, with her face buried in my lap. Poor Sprite! She is so loyal. And even as the shooting was going on she was smiling at me.(Yes, Dogs smile.) Sweet dog.

Well, Daisy, I guess humans can learn from this as well as dogs. Are we faithful to the people we love, even when circumstances are scary? Like a boy defending his sister from a big, scary, dog, (an allusion to Ethan), we should all be willing to be loyal at all costs. Jesus was.
